Is RVing Right for Us?

What draws our family to RVing is the uniqueness of the vacations you can have. Even the rigs come in different forms and sizes- Just like families. But, most importantly, RVing is a cost-effective way to have a big adventure! So, will our upcoming RV trip spark a new love for a different type of recreational travel? Here are the reasons why we're betting on yes:

Amenities on Board

In short, you can have anything in an RV that you can have in a home. The amenities vary by the many choices when buying or renting an RV, which is short for a recreational vehicle. Of course, I'm looking forward to the kitchen. My husband David is curious to see one of the littlest stoves a family of five may utilize. We'll likely cook outdoors for most meals, but unsavory weather can happen during adventures. The bottom line is we're all excited about indoor sleeping arrangements when it comes to amenities!

Pets, Oh My!

For family and friends who have known me longest, they will remember my growth with fur babies. From childhood, I was always tepid with pets and animals, and I must admit that my bird fear still lingers. I'm thankful for the indoor sleeping arrangements because nothing keeps me on my toes more during tent camping is the thought of a creature stirring. It's challenging to leave pets behind. We must leave our coral behind, but we get to take almost the whole family. We can bring our dog Tinkerbell on our upcoming RV trip! In my non-scholarly but occasionally creditable Youtube search, I learned that we should get her vaccination and vet records with us for the RV parks that may require the documentation. For now, that's my only tip on pets, but perhaps when we return, I will have more. But this leads us to my last reason we believe RVing is for our family.

Affordable, Affordable

Not only do we not need to deal with leaving Tinkerbell behind for the duration of our trip we also don't need to pay for boarding fees! We look forward to trimming the cost of clothing. We get to wear our everyday clothes on our RV trip. No packing for formal night (we love formal attire, so no shade). Having your accommodations, meals, and travel mode all in one can save families upward of 68% on vacation! If the rig has storage space, you can take along your vacation activities for quarters of the price. Bikes, golf clubs, kayaks, skis, and more are the equipment you could bring along on your RV vacation. We have a low-key agenda to blog and vlog shortly, but we're bringing cards, board games, and fishing gear. My family is still deciding whether to bring a basketball or a volleyball. Which do you think? Now! I am OK spending money on food, but the locations we travel to call for American hotdogs, burgers, and smores! We have on "fancy" dinner scheduled. So we are trimming back on food costs to eat some camping staples. Speaking of fastening tools, I've seen some RVing horror stories, so we have a healthy set of expectations for our upcoming trip, as much as you can have when you are excited about something.
