An Air of Elegance on the MSC Meraviglia

Imagine walking a crystal staircase on a luxurious cruise ship. That's precisely what you can experience on the MSC Meraviglia, sailing out of the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. The ship's Swarovski staircase, a stunning piece of art, perfectly complements the glamorous design palette with the Italian-styled seating, making the 5,642-passenger ship truly elegant. An LED dome projects a digital sky over the promenade, creating a unique and immersive experience. The Galleria Merafvelia, with its luxurious touches, is a haven for relaxation, dining, and socializing.

DINING

I had a pleasant lunch at the L'Olive main dining restaurant, which served fire-roasted tomato cream soup, blackened red snapper with lime and Creole spices, and tiramisu for dessert. I added salt to the soup and would have added more Creole spices if I could. The meal was filling, and the service was attentive. The restaurant was clean and decorated in more luxurious Italian decor. I was interested in trying the other restaurants I saw onboard the ship. There are 11 restaurants with various offerings, including Japanese, a steakhouse, Mexican (some requiring an upcharge), and a buffet. There are also 15 other bars and lounges with what looks like some great food. For example, the JEAN-PHILIPPE CRÊPES & GELATO gelato was calling my name, but the tour was not set up for purchases while touring. We did get a sneak peek of a show while on the tour.

FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT

The MSC Meraviglia is a paradise for entertainment lovers, especially families. The ship offers a variety of venues and shops, including a theater and a Lego play area, ensuring that every passenger, regardless of age, finds something to enjoy. There's a flight simulator for the thrill-seekers, while those seeking a more relaxed experience can head to the bowling alley. The ship constantly buzzes with lively music, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. The Sportsplex is equipped for tennis, basketball, football, and volleyball, providing endless fun for the whole family. After a day of activities, head for a dip in the calm waters you'll find aboard.

During our tour we got a chance to see dance rehearsal for one of the performers.

POOLS & ROPES COURSE

Do you enjoy pools and water rides? The MSC Meraviglia has three pools, several hot tubs, and a water park. There is seating and a poolside movie screen for passenger enjoyment. The pool deck offers excellent views, but the best forward views are reserved for the Yacht Club members. The bamboo pool has a retractable roof for the East Coast weather. The ropes course is adjacent to one of the pool areas. The water park gives off amusement park vibes. Make sure to get your wristband at the activities center before using the water park. After swimming or soaking up the sun on the sun deck, what would you rather- the casino's excitement or the spa's sensual atmosphere?

CASINO & SPA

On deck 7 Forward, you'll find the Aurea Spa. Greeters will welcome you to the area. Passengers can use the salons for both men and women in the spa. There are two types of saunas: one more classic and the other less intense. The spa has many hot and cold thermal treatments to offer passengers looking to relax. The spa provides a line of skin care products, treatments, and massages for relaxation. I found the salt bath to be the most enticing element of the spa. The table for the salt bath adjusts to meet the needs of many abilities. The casino has the opposite vibe of the spa. Those sailing will find the lively, well-lit casino on the opposite end of deck 7, and with seats for 600 passengers, they are sure to find a spot at their favorite game. There are banks and banks of slot machines, roulette, craps, and blackjack, to name a few of the gaming opportunities Meraviglia has. If you are open to enjoying the spa or casino and have children, you'd be interested in having a place for them to enjoy.

KIDS CLUB

The kids' club is in the rear of deck 18. The ship also has a baby club, and the hours of operation are posted for passengers who plan to use the baby club. The Lego play areas and teen club are also co-located on deck 18. The staff has several dance parties and crafts to entertain the children while they attend the kid's club. The ship also has a lab for kids who are interested in technology. Serving passengers 0-17 years old, the kid's club something is appealing here for all the children in your party.

Brooklyn Cruise Terminal

Overall, the MSC Meraviglia ship provides a luxurious atmosphere for all its entertainment and activities aboard the 19-passenger decks. First introduced in 2017, she's 1,036 feet long and 213 feet tall, making her one of the largest ships in the world. Despite her size, Meravilgia was easy to navigate with the maps found around the ship. With the ease of sailing from the Northeast and the price point, MSC is an option I wouldn't pass by. Itineraries for this ship include the Bahamas, Bermuda, Caribbean, Canada, and New England areas, often with stops at Ocean Cay, the ship's private island. Contact me today to learn more!
